A Division II Women's Collegiate Conference
Today, Williams Women’s Rugby Football Club became the third team to commit to the formation of NESC Rugby for Fall 2012. The club was formed in 1976 and boasts a history of success over its thirty-six year history, thanks to long-time coach and advocate for women’s rugby, Gina Coleman. Additionally, the WWRFC holds the Guinness World Record for longest rugby game played, which ended in a Williams victory over Keene (818-711) after a grueling 24 hour match. It’s this type of enthusiasm and creativity about the sport that has helped the club stay strong in numbers and reputation throughout its storied history. The NESCRC welcomes another outstanding rugby program to the organization!
